The cornerstone of our spiritual growth, development, and wellness is the power of our beliefs, particularly our belief in God. This belief shapes our entire existence, our actions, and our faith. Therefore, the conclusions we reach will be based on the belief in God we start with. This belief in God forms the basis of our understanding and guides our journey toward spiritual fulfillment. 

On this profound journey of God’s Development, I have come to understand that our belief in God is not just a requirement, but a testament to our unique and personal connection with Him. God yearns for our love and belief; without belief, it is impossible to truly please Him. Hebrews 11:6 beautifully states, ‘But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.’ 

From the beginning, men have attempted to answer the question, ‘What does God want me to do?’ Leaving many believers puzzled and birthing many religions worldwide. But Jesus, who came to guide us in all the ways of God, gave us a brief, simple, yet seemingly challenging command that we must believe in Him whom God sent. Satisfying God does not come from our work but from whom we believe. As Jesus’ disciples asked Him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’ and Jesus answered them and said, ‘The work of God is this, to believe in the one He has sent.'(John 6:28-29) The first step is to accept that Jesus is who he says He is and that our spiritual development is built on that affirmation. So, as we embark on a life satisfying to God, to receive His promises and fullness of life, we must first believe.
