My prayer is that my intentions for serving God and others are not just pure and genuine, but also selfless. I strive for a state where none of my motives are selfish, where my giving and serving are not for personal gain or praise, but from a deep-seated gratitude for all God is and all He has done for me.
My journey took a transformative turn when I turned away from my selfish ways and committed my life to following Christ. This shift in perspective has led me to a life that is no longer inward-focused, but one that is lived outwardly. In this, I've discovered that the true purpose of living is found in serving others.
As Jesus said, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself(self-sacrifice), take up his cross(commitment to change his ways), and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it(risk losing eternal life), but whoever shall lose his life(change his way-repent) for my sake shall find it(gain purpose for his). ~Matthew 16:24-25
This call to self-sacrifice and commitment to change our ways is a challenging one. But it is in this self-denial that we find true life, purpose, and eternal salvation.
