From my personal journey, I’ve come to realize that the pivotal point in personal growth lies in our ability to relinquish the hold of pride. This pride, often rooted in our past mistakes and failures, can keep us tethered and stagnant. However, when we summon the courage to let go, we unleash a transformative power that propels us forward, inspiring us to transcend our past and embrace a new beginning.
We must learn to let go.
One of the most detrimental ways we can live is by fixating on our past mistakes and failures. While it’s crucial to learn from them, dwelling on them can breed worry, anxiety, and even depression, which can impede our progress and growth. Instead, we should strive to focus on the present and future, learning from our past but not letting it define us.
Remember, God’s process guides the path we walk. Living in faith means finding contentment in His plan and trusting that He will provide for our needs. We must learn to rely on God’s promises and Christ’s power to help us be content. We can draw on contentment when we look at our lives from God’s perspective. From God’s perspective, we have hope in all life’s circumstances through Jesus. That contentment does not mean we don’t desire, but that our desires are through the spirit of Christ in us. That contentment comes from faith in God. We should learn to trust in God, no matter what comes or goes, and we will be okay in any situation we find ourselves in. To draw on His power to keep us through whatever state we are in. Be content with where we are and what we have, not focused on what we think we should have, but instead concentrate on what we are to do by believing in Him whom God sent.
As Paul says.
“I have learned in what so ever state(situation) I am, therewith to be content. I know how to be abased and I know how to abound, everywhere and in all things I am instructed to be both full and to be hungry.”
“But my God shall supply all your need (not some but all) according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
“Having received, I have all, and abound, I am full.”
Now, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
~Philippians 4:11-12,13,18,19
