Ask yourself
Who influences how you think on a thing?
Most of the time, it is not our skill, talent, or lack of ability that holds us back. Rather, it is our way of thinking about things.
From this limited thinking can come doubt, which is sometimes us projecting our insecurities onto others without any proof.
As someone who aspires to inspire and influence others for the greater good, I often grapple with doubt about living in God’s purpose. However, I choose to embrace this doubt as it serves as a constant reminder of my humility on this journey. It reminds me that any good I do is only possible through God’s grace.
Recognizing that my influence comes from God and maintaining self-honesty are crucial aspects of my identity and the person God is shaping me to be. The peace that comes from self-awareness is a powerful tool in combating doubt. By shifting our thinking away from external influences, we can find solace in our own self-awareness.
Under His influence, you will begin to perceive yourself from God’s viewpoint. This can be challenging when you choose to live for Him, as past guilts may resurface. However, self-forgiveness is a vital part of maturing in your relationship with Him. As you reflect on His work in you and your life, remember that you are making progress beyond what you might realize.
Better is relative to perspective and purpose. Learning to see things through God’s perspective takes practice, focus, and discipline; it takes submitting all to Him. As I have learned through this, God’s better is far beyond what I can understand and perceive.
As He says in Jeremiah 33:3:
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”
I seek my influence from God from the renewing of my mind and my thoughts daily, through time in prayer, as there is no greater influence you can have in your life, for He did not give any of us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind!
