‘For the Lord God is a sun and a shield, the Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in you.’
Psalm 84:11-12
These verses, reassuringly, do not promise that God will give us everything we think is good. However, they affirm that He will not withhold what is permanently good or what He knows is best for us. He will provide us with the means and will to walk along His paths, but we must take the steps! When we obediently follow Him, He will not hold anything back that will help us continue living for Him.
