“Worry Less, Trust More”
“Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” ~Matthew 6:27
Worrying, a futile exercise that we often resort to in an attempt to simplify life, is a burden we need not carry. Instead, we can
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication(petition), with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God and the peace of God which passeth all understanding(we don’t know how He works) shall keep your hearts and minds(give you comfort and peace)through Christ Jesus.”~Philippians 4:6-7
God, the master of all details in the world, is more than capable of managing the intricacies of your life. So, release the worry about the details you can’t control. Instead, focus on the areas you can influence (your character, attitude, relationships, and responsibilities) and trust God with the rest. He’s got this.
Please stop turning things you don’t understand into things you now worry about. Many things in our lives will happen that we will never understand, and other things may fall into place later in our lives as to why. Instead of guessing, we should trust that God knows what is best and what He is doing, even if the timing of His ways is unclear.
We understand that He is God, and we are not. His ways are not like ours.
Besides what we deem significant concerns today, many things we worry about years from now will seem petty, inappropriate, or just a waste of time.
“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tommorow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” ~Matthew 6:33-34
Today, I urge you to concentrate on the things within your control and entrust the rest to God. Trusting in God is the best thing we can do, and it’s enough.
