Bible, Spirit, Life: Daily Words to Move You: “Time is Love’s Most Priceless Gift””

“Time Is Love’s Most Priceless Gift”

A 4ANEWDAY Reflection.

In living a life to serve God and love others without expectation, I am convinced that there is no greater gift I can give a person than my time. Whether to help, encourage, or just to be there to listen, giving time is love’s most priceless gift.

In a world that constantly pulls us in every direction — with calendars full, notifications nonstop, and distractions everywhere — time has become one of the rarest and most valuable things we possess. That’s why I believe the greatest gift we can give someone is not money, status, or even solutions — it’s our time.

When we live a life of serving God and loving others without expectation, we begin to see that time is one of the most divine gifts we have. Time reflects care. Time reveals commitment. Time says, “You matter to me.”

“This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.”

— John 15:12 (NLT)

Jesus didn’t rush through life. He paused for people. He dined with outcasts, touched the untouchable, and listened to those the world ignored. His miracles often began with a moment of undivided attention. And today, we are called to do the same.

When you give someone your time:

    •    You are helping carry their burden — even if just for a moment.

    •    You are encouraging their soul with presence, not just words.

    •    You are showing love in its purest form — selfless and patient.

You may not have all the answers. You may not be able to fix someone’s pain. But your time — freely and lovingly given — reminds them they are not alone. That is powerful. That is Christ-like. That is enough.

“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”

— Galatians 6:2 (NLT)

So, today, if you’ve ever questioned whether you’ve something to offer… You do. You have time. And when given in love, that time becomes sacred. A listening ear. A kind word. A gentle presence. A few minutes may not change the world, but it might change someone’s world.

You don’t need to be wealthy, well-known, or perfect to serve God and love others. You need a heart that’s willing to show up.
