A Devotional Thought by 4ANEWDAY
There are moments in life when sadness enters quietly—sometimes unexpectedly—and settles in like a fog. In these moments, it’s easy to feel weighed down by past mistakes, failures, or deep-rooted insecurities. The truth is, pain has a way of whispering lies that try to convince us we’re unworthy of love.
But let me remind you, as I remind myself in those times:
It’s okay to not be okay.
You don’t have to hide your sadness. You don’t need to pretend that everything’s perfect. Because even in your lowest moments, you are still deeply loved.
When life feels heavy, and you’re tempted to withhold love from yourself, remember this:
God never stops loving you.
Not when you feel broken.
Not when you stumble.
Not even when you try to push Him away.
“I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons… indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God.”
~ Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
God’s love for you is not based on your actions, emotions, or worthiness.
It is grounded in His character—unchanging, faithful, and eternal.
So in the moments when your heart aches…
When the voice of shame gets loud…
When loving yourself feels impossible…
Choose to believe what God says about you:
You are loved.
You are seen.
You are still His.
We could try to outrun His love—but we would never make it.
Because His love always outruns our doubts.
